For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth;
to the Jew first and also to the Greek. Romans 1:16 |

Pastor Tim Bonner is Senior Pastor and Founder of Rivers of Joy Worship Center in Longview, Washington; he is a third generation Pastor. Pastor Tim's anointed, dynamic preaching style has reached past the four walls of his church. Pastor Tim and Pastor Rhonda have hosted and been guests on the Trinity Broadcasting Network’s affiliate station KNMT in Portland, Oregon. They have also hosted their own weekly television program featuring Pastor’s anointed preaching. Pastor Tim has preached in North Allerton, England; traveled to The Philippines, Hong Kong, and China, teaching and preaching the word of God. He also ministered on the streets of New York with David Wilkerson’s team. Our Pastors have been featured in “Charisma” magazine as one of “The Best Pastors in America”, and in “Gospel Today” magazine as some of the “World’s Most Loved Pastors”. After Going into full time ministry Pastor Tim continued working as a timber faller (Logger) to support his family, and the ministry. His timber falling expertise was soon sought out by companies all over the Pacific Northwest. For twenty five years Pastor spent his summers as Director of “Black Bear Youth Camp” reaching children from five states, ministering the word of God while playing basketball, and baseball with them. Pastor Tim’s interests include music (belonging to a quartet in Bible College), and basketball (which he played in High School, College, and on Church league). He also enjoys hunting, and spending time with his family. He married his high school sweetheart, Rhonda, the Co-Founder of Rivers of Joy. They have four grown Children and six Grandchildren. Being healed of Peritonitis at fourteen, God’s mighty healing power has been at the forefront of his ministry. In 2002, after being struck by a tree (80 ft. high, by 2-1/2 ft. in diameter), he was pinned face down, under the tree. He dug himself out with a horse shoe nail attached to his logger’s tape, and a stick. It took over an hour to get freed up enough to get his cork boots off, and wiggle out from under the tree. When checking his injuries they found a lump in his leg that kept growing. Pastor Tim was soon hit with the devastating news he had a serious form of cancer, myxoid liposarcoma, which was intricately wrapped around his main leg muscle. The prognosis was that he would likely lose his leg at the hip. Pastor Tim’s faith in God’s word, that he had stood on since he was saved, gave him the strength he needed to see God’s mighty healing power, again work in his life. The surgeon was able to remove the cancer without removing his leg. Praise the Lord!
